These journals started (as with most other things) as an experiment for myself and a friend whose dad had donated us some rather unattractive though functional 2011 *agricultural* diaries, filled with ads for 'Granular Formulations', quality plastic hose systems, and Bata industrial footware. I had some left over denim from a pair of jeans I'd cut up, so I stitched it together and started embroidering it with words that inspire me. Next thing I had people asking for custom-made orders. Lately I've been experimenting with a quilting technique, manically machine-stitching felt shapes onto tweed, and I quite like the result. More of these to come for the NG Christmas Market happening from the 1-3rd December, Grahamstown.
